Absolutely beautiful work by Kumar.

If by any chance they become available separately, I would be very interested in buying the top one.

Skyler and Rusty, that top one is basically a slightly smaller version of the R-8 with a brass buttcap and guard. The R-8 also has a slight drop to the back of the blade that acts as a guard instead of this design.

Personally I really like the bottom one best. Great design.

Nice snag Ted! I was tempted on that one.

It is very close to the R-8, however this one looks like it has a ricasso. The blade has a little more curve at the tip and the handle has more curves.

I do like the looks of the R-8 as well, and would like to pick one up as well as a R-5 and R-10.

Good points. R-10? I'm losing track of these. I'll have to look that one up and refresh my memory.

The brass really dresses these up.

Ah, right! Eric got the first R-10: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=404809&highlight=R-10

I really liked that one as well. I agree that it and the R-5 are the coolest looking ones IMO.

The "R" series has had some fans of it, now if the "D" series (Dil's series)would just get going (so far only a D-1 has been made).

Did anyone get this? I haven't heard anything from Yangdu yet, just wondering if the forum outage killed my email to her.

That's true, but Dil has made a bunch of the R series and done a great job. I am really impressed with his work. That D-1 was a nice knife.

Ted, you are way too forthcoming! I would be quietly flooding Yangdu with desperate emails before some sneaky shark floats by. :D

Everyone, Ted has dibs on these, OK? ;)
