I'm new to this but I wanted to know why Busse does not make a 9 1/2 incher like the Battle Mistress anymore....
 
Welcome to the forums.

Busse is in the middle of a model redesign on many of their models.

The Battle Mistress is part of the group of knives scheduled for some tweaking.

The new model will be called the "Fusion Battle Mistress".

There are several threads on here with pics of what the new model will look like.

If you are planning on being at Blade next weekend, a display model of it will be there.

I will try and find some pics and post links soon.

There are numerous sources for the older straight-handled models, as well as the e-handled (e for ergonomic) models. The For Sale forums on the Exchange here on Bladeforums, Ebay, and "other" knife-related forums occasionally have larger vintage Busses for sale.

good choice for one choppin sob, new is soon to come and the old ones are soon to be awesome collectors. can't go wrong with either :D
 
Thanks for the welcome....... thats good to know... what price range will it be in? The Fusion I mean...
 
The FBM will have a base price of $397. There may be some options avilable at an extra charge.
