My name's JAY, i just recently bought myself a BK11 and am quite pleased. I found this forum and figured that I would check it out because I'm really liking my new knife and I also like the look of the other Becker knives.

Welcome, Jay. I'm glad you chose the Becker forum for your first post.
Judging from your pics, you're going to fit right in around here.
 
Thanks for the welcome, I figured this would be a good place to start since I'm liking this knife more than any other I've ever owned.

Yeah, I looked at a couple of wrap styles and settled on a combination of a few and ended it with a sailor's whipping on the end of the cord's self.
 
Welcome!!! Now you're in trouble. I came here just to learn about knives and the different steels; now I own a small pile of Becker knives. :D Welcome to the sickness. :thumbup:
 
Yeah, I think any extra money I scrounge up will go to buying either a BK9 or BK2, not sure which one for my second Becker, might be a while too.

I also don't let other people touch mine, it's been bolted to my side since it came in the mail.
 
Welcome to the Dark Side. It's all been predetermined. Scratch the black coating on your new knife and it releases a seccret addictive drug that makes you buy more and more Beckers :D

Go for both or just the BK2 it's kinda like the unofficial BK&T mascot. IMO ;) Oh and welcome to the forum!

so thats the reason behind it......can i get that documented scientifically by a dr or something so i can have an excuse to show my wife?

I have both, as most people here do, and you cant go wrong with either. find a local dealer where you can hole them and decide for yourself, but you will end up with all the numbers after a while anyways. Welcome
 
Looking at a bunch of the threads, I can already see that I like the forum. I'll probably partake in the open contests and see if I win anything (maybe a zombie killer :)
And I'll have to see about a local dealer and see where I can buy besides the interwebs, not sure if there is a place, I'll investigate.
 
Welcome, and may I say. It's a trap. I started with the BK 14. And it was all fun and games. Now I have a 14, a 2, a 9, 3 14s, and I'm look at a 7.
