I have a friend that makes knives. He specializes in making knives out of items from everyday life and out of scrap materials. He also has a uncontrollable love for old Butcher knives. He buys them at flea markets and shows. I don't normally go for the Kitchen knives, but he showed me this little germ and I think it's about as cool of a piece of old cutlery I have ever seen.
I know the basic timeline of Hibbard knives, but I have not been able to find anything on this particular design. I am thinking it is early to mid 20th century, but my buddy thinks it could be 19th century. I was hoping to get some opinions from folks such as yourselves who have a passion and knowledge of such things. no tidbit would be considered too small. Any information anyone willing to share would be greatly appreciated. I love the blade design and have tried to buy it from my friend but, as with all of his finds, he won't let it go.

Thanks again for taking the time to read this and for any information you can share.
