I have a friend that makes knives. He specializes in making knives out of items from everyday life and out of scrap materials. He also has a uncontrollable love for old Butcher knives. He buys them at flea markets and shows. I don't normally go for the Kitchen knives, but he showed me this little germ and I think it's about as cool of a piece of old cutlery I have ever seen.
I know the basic timeline of Hibbard knives, but I have not been able to find anything on this particular design. I am thinking it is early to mid 20th century, but my buddy thinks it could be 19th century. I was hoping to get some opinions from folks such as yourselves who have a passion and knowledge of such things. no tidbit would be considered too small. Any information anyone willing to share would be greatly appreciated. I love the blade design and have tried to buy it from my friend but, as with all of his finds, he won't let it go. :)

Thanks again for taking the time to read this and for any information you can share.
