Does any1 know if it was the highlander bowie featured in the beginning of the movie Natural Born Killers? Also, if so, where could i pick up a shoulder rig for the knife as shown in the movie?

FYI, a post like this and the fact that it is your one and only post here combine to make members not very likely to provide you with the information you seek. A little background and establishing yourself might be in order. Just a friendly heads up. And, let me be the first to welcome you to the forums. I hope you stick around due to your love of knives.

a post like this
one2gofst,
A post like what? It sounds like a reasonable question to me. If there is anything offensive there I missed it. Just my .02

sAdams,
Welcome to the forums. I don't have answer for you on the movie, but I am sure a number of members will be along shortly.

N2S, not offensive. I just think that some members might be wary of telling an unknown person where they can get a shoulder rig for a knife used in a movie that glorifies violence. It was not a knock on anyone. I did not mean it to be offensive or condescending. My apologies if I came off that way.

Yes it was a Highlander Bowie, I remembered it from the diner scene. I do not know about the rig though.

There was no knife shoulder rig. I thought so too the first time I saw it. It was just a optical illusion when he pulls it to throw thru the window. Remember, the black sheath with white pants and white t-shirt, in later scenes its more apparant(eg, the gas station, he has it tied down to his leg). In his Uncle Mike's shoulder holster is a Beretta 93R and the other side in some scenes is spare mags, and others it's his Wildey.

Just my opinion about NBK, but I don't think it was intended to glorify violence, it was intended to illustrate the glorification, celebration and sensationalization of violence in the media.
