Hello All ,
As I,ve already written in a previous thread , I have just bought my first Buck knife , a 112 folder to add to my small collection of folders . I plan to re scale it using a nice quality burl wood which Ive got at home . If I can get hold of a reasonably priced Buck 113 Ranger Skinner I would like to re scale that also using the same wood to make a matching pair to complement each other . I have just come across some small pieces of Hickory that I bought from the US a number of years ago when I was making scandi knives that I never got to use !
As most of you Guys in the States probably know Hickory has a mix of Brown and creamy coloured grain . I was thinking of maybe using this to re scale the two knives . and would like to know if anyone on the forum has any photos of 110s / 112s / 113s with hickory scales to give me some idea of how they would look ?
Thanks
Mike

If you go to the Buck Knife site under the custom builds you can see selection on wood and you add them to the knife to see what they look like.
Unfortunately they don't have a Hickory option at this time but maybe it will help you some.
Good Luck,
