Here are some knives I came across at one of my Hammer Inns. The story behind them is that Bill needed a loan and the bank president gave him a helping hand in getting it and Bill made the 1st knife as a gift (The gentleman's name is engraved on the guard). His son told me about them and did not know anything about who made them and I asked him to bring them over and here they are. I am not sure of the steel on the 1st one but it appears that it is an Osik handle. Hope you enjoy the photo's just wish I was a little better at it.

God a Bagwell is definitely one of my dream knives. Not just the outstanding blades themselves but the sheath system where it hangs from your belt by that stud.

You lucky dog! What a find!

My sheath maker made that sheath. He did it we think in the late 70's to early 80's. His name is Richard Grimes and the sheath is stamped.

Well he did a good job on it. You have a talented sheath maker. I couldn't see the stamp so I wrongly assumed. Actually the first time I had seen sheaths made to be carried in that style were from Bagwell.

Fantastic! Many congrats my friend....both are extraordinary.

I did not purchase them as I have no idea of the value and I don't know if he wants to sell. I did not ask. He did not know anything about Bagwell and I would not take advantage of that.

You are a good man Dan. Some would take advantage of his lack of knowledge.

It would be nice to know the value to tell him. Thanks Robert, I bet you would have done the same thing.

Just from the photos, I would put value for the first at $900 and the second at $700.
The second looks as though it's Bill's satin lace Damascus where the etch/pattern has diminished over the years. May bring a bit more as Bill does have a strong fan base.
