Hidden Lanyard Ring on SURGE and CHARGE

Saw on You Tube. He only mentions the Surge. i don't know if the Charge also has the tiny hidden storage area. There may be other models with this.

Located in front of the saw and next to the scissors. It was a little stiff pulling it out.
Anyway, since it is more secure than the add-on lanyard ring, I moved my DIY lanyard to it, and removed the add-on ring.

I removed that lanyard ring from my Waves because the tip of the saw kept hitting it and dulling the end saw tooth.
 
Most leatherman models these days have a lanyard ring that stowed away and they count it as a function for some reason.
I neve use it on any multitool and do not know anybody who does.

I would guess many people just don't pay attention to the package / instructions, because it's often not known about.
