As many of you know I am a devout fan of the Spyderedge and the Hawkbill blade both>> and both of which Spyderco has no serious competition as of this time IMO. I have many of the great models in Spyderedge and some of the past models many of you all aren't even aware that existed.

For instance I don't think that many of you know that there was a Spyderedged version of the JD Smith or the C-50 Centofante model. There was also a Spyderedged version of the Titanium ATR model and there was also a full SE version of the Dodo at one time.

Some of you all are aware of some of the hidden Spyderedged Classics that I'm probably not even aware of. So let's talk about Spyderco's Hidden or little known about Spyderedged Classics. Which models do you have? How long have you had them? and maybe which of the older models do you wish could have been made in Spyderedge?

Also I bet most of you aren't aware that there was a very popular fixed blade that they made a few Spyderedged versions of. OK let's talk Spyderedged Classics

The Cricket is a powerful little SE classic. I've been missing the one I had years ago. It's one of the only knives ai've lost and the one that hurt the most. The Copilot is another SE classic.

I've had the SE Cricket and it is surprisingly useful for a blade of it's size. I didn't know that they quit making the Cricket in SE. It also seems like at one time they made the Meerkat and/or the Dragonfly in SE?? I might be wrong on that one but I think at least one of those models was.

Now they did make that really small fixed blade called the SPOT in SE because I had one of those at one time. I will admit that I'm not as up as I should be on the smaller bladed models. Because I've always had much more use for larger blades. But I would sure like to know more about small SE Spyders.

Glad you brought that up RED DEVIL

I honestly don't see why you'd need that many serrations. Would have been much better in combo-edge if you ask me :D

They have made both of them in SE if I'm not mistaken. You can definitely get an H1 D'fly for sure.

And also, I am glad you brought up the MeerKat because one SpyderEdge I have been lusting after for a while is the Reverse S Meerkat SE. I love my MeerKat, the ergonomics of it make it feel like such a bigger knife than it is, and the Reverse S SE seems like it would be one of the greatest pull-cutters I can think of, especially in that size range.

Yes Jd the Dfly is another great knife. The H1 version is on my wish list. I also forgot about the Spot. Such a cool little fixed blade design.

Some of the older premium models that at one time were offered in full SE are the "JD Smith", Viele, C-50 Centofante, The Chinese Lum and the original skeletonized "R" model. There are many more from that era.

But the trend now seems to veer away from full SE blades. The C-36 Military in 440V was truly one of the meanest serrated Spyders I ever owned.

Are you looking for one? I found one, not a BF paid member though.

There were some real Spyderedged gems out of the ATS-55 era ( 1998 to 2000). One of my very favorite Spyderedged models of all time was the Stainless handled RESCUE models i.e. C-14 & C-45. There was also the original G-10 Police and G-10 Harpy>> both of which are highly sought after to this very day.

The Viele, Centofante C-25 and the original Dyad models were all out of that era as well.

If the price is reasonable, always looking for SE knives.

A for the older knives, I have a SE Centofante from the collectors club. My goodness, I love that knife. The older SE Enduras are also great with the really pointy tips. :)
