Scott... I have 3 of your Tusker knives but wondered if you've ever considered a similar knife shape/style doing this w/a Hidden-Tang construction? I've really grown fond of hidden-tang style blades and would love to see one done w/a Tusker style blade. Just a thought on my end and wondered if you've ever made one, or considered it?

I've made half a dozen or so hidden tang knives. One was a big elk handled bowie which I still have.

Not the best pic. Quite honestly, hidden tangs are a pain to do. I really don't care much to make them. Grinding and shaping the hidden tang is time consuming. Plus fitting the handle is time consuming. There may be easier ways to do them then the way I do it but I pretty much abandoned the idea of hidden tangs, sticking to full tang made knives.

No problem. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Over the years I've tried alot of different things. I've gotten to the point where I pick and choose things I feel most comfortable doing. One thing is a maker can only do what his equipment allows him to do. I've gotten customer requests for their dream design and I just can't do it because I don't have the proper equipment. Some designs are best left to waterjet cutting.
