hiden tang shape of sp51?

i got a SP51 GEN2 last year, very cool chopper and 5160 spring steel is really tough , i like it soooo much .:thumbup::thumbup:

i just wanna know the hiden tang shape of the knife , i hope it wide enough .

If its anything like the tang on the sp8, its likely very strong and well finished. The sp8s tang was rounded nicely instead of being squared.
 
Found pics of a sp51 which was being re-handled, the tang is very beefy, almost a full width tang overall. Its as thick as the thick, and where handle and blade meet, the corners are rounded. Very well done! Searched rehandled ontario knife on here and google and found the pics. Hope that helps.
 
I think he means why is it there from the factory, since the factory handle seems to be held on just by the lanyard tube at the rear. I don't know the answer, but it does make it handy for those who wish to rehandle (no need to drill a second pin hole).
