So I contacted Darrel Ralph for a manual Trigger Maze, but before I pull the trigger is there anything else I should consider in the sub $500 range? ALready have my Sebbie, Strider, and HEST (on order), and a couple Spyderco's I love. Framelock is the way to go for me and I imagine it's gotta be pretty sweet to undo a DDR purchase.
Thoughts? Anso??

Mosier looks great! But I don't see any available knives? Tighe is not for me, lightfoot is beyond the price point and I might be the only person in the world that doesn't like the XM-18, just too thicnk!

I really dig this Galyean Pro Series Large LAHAR IKBS flipper $500 Ti framelock hollow ground. :)

I want an Umnum, but later. I'd rather diversify what I have by maker first a bit.

Yuna definetly made the list - I think my primary concern was that the options would drive the cost up, that and I have no idea what it will feel like in hand.
The Lahar is a great idea though. What came first, the Galyean Pro or Kershaw??

+1:thumbup:

Here is my TNK Pro Series Sm JYD

i love it

Where's you pull off that solid black. All I could find was the riveted bomber theme which appeared hokey - but yours is cool!

OOPs found it - very nice!

ive been looking at the trigger maze on and off. cant say id want to talk someone out of that!

yuna is great, the one i have fits my hand like a glove.

i got very lucky recently and picked up a WDZ azrael. 300 for a new, custom knife, strong ti frame, carbon fiber handle. with a liner thats as thick as the locking side ti. cant go wrong with that.

good question. I THINK that Kershaw was first, but his actual custom Lahar was before that, don't quote me on it though.

Have to say Galyean Pro series. I have the JYD large and as someone said in another thread it is on par or better than the various top tier productions think Chris Reeve, Rick Hinderer, Strider. Heavy duty, smooth as butter, fit and finish unbelieveable.

I've owned the Lahar and I think it's easily one of the best bang for the buck knives out there. Knowing that, it's super hard for me to pay an extra 350 for one you know? It's a beautiful knife but everytime I look into the Galyean Pro series they seem like improved production knives.

Can anyone produce a side by side picture of a Yuna Hard and a Strider SnG?

I never handled the Kershaw Lahar, but the GPS Lahar (I'm sick of typing Galyean Pro Series, so everyone should start just saying GPS) uses the IKBS pivot system for a much faster deployment. it's also has annodized titanium handle slabs, with parts policed to emulate a bolstered look. it's absolutely an incredible knife, and I'd say the fit and finish is as good as that of a Sebenza. The Sebenza however, is simpler, while I'd say the Lahar is a bit more ambitious.
