Golden, Colorado,
Today, medical personnel at Colorado Lutheran Hospital treated 47 year old John Row for a vicious knife wound!
Evidently Mr. Row had a hangnail on his little toe on his right foot. Because of a ruptured disc in his back, the victim requested his wife "treat" the injury offering what has been described as a "high end "traditional design" knife from his knife collection to facilitate the procedure. Authorities believe Mr. Row acquired the knife on the internet.
The knife, further described as a Stag handled W.R. Case & Son XX Russ-Lok with a "surgical steel" blade with a "mirror - like" finish was unfamiliar to Mrs. Row. Mrs Row stated that she had done previous medical procedures with her husband's larger "commando" type knives made by companies by the name of Spyderco, MicroTech, Benchmade.
Mr. Row had requested that she use the "traditional design commando, swat, Special Forces, Boy Scout" type weapon in order to be more "politically correct in today's troubled world". "The accident occurred due to the inherent small size of the knife used in the incident", stated Mrs. Row to authorities and medical staff on scene.
Several stitches were needed to close the wound and Mr. Row is in guarded but satisfactory condition. Mrs Row was released on her own recognizance pending further questioning of the Russ - Lok to ascertain whether she and the knife had conspired to injure her husband's toe.
The knife is being held without bond.
