Hey guys. I'm looking for a good skinning knife. Tired of having the edge die before I can clean a whole deer.

Preferably fixed blade and something with a guthook. I was looking at the Gerber Freeman in S30V. Anyone handled this knife or now how well Gerber does S30V?

Appreciate any input and suggestiong. Thanks.

How much do you want to spend? Personally I hate gut hooks.

Yea, sorry forgot the price range. Looking in the $100-150 range. Definitely willing to consider w/o guthook if I like the knife.

I have a s30v Gerber Gator fixed blaade but I have not uased it much yet, The CS master Hunter plus would be a good choice.

Get a Dozier many models to choose from.. Or my favorite the Crotts model one, and the Krein TK3.

They are a little over your price range... But for 75.00 more you will get a knife that can do 5-8 deer and only need a strop to get the edge back.. The performance of these knife makers steel is incredible!!
