High speed steel HT

It will be impossible to help you, austenitizing temperature could range from 1875-2350. Tempering temps would also span a large range.

Would deff make a great knife steel, just will not be able to help with heat treating.. each type is different and requires a precise recipe..

Then it may be M4 ... but you still don't know.

It is a crap shoot, but try this:
Pre-heat 1500F for 15 minutes
Austenitize at 2100F for 30 minutes
Plate quench to room temp
Temper twice at 550F for 2 hours each.

If you have cryo, it won't hurt, but IIRC, M4 doesn't need cryo. If doing cryo, do a snap temper at 300F, cool to room temp, then into LN for 6 hours. Themper twice after that.
