I recently purchased a High Street, sweet knife. I was wondering if anyone had the official dimensions: Blade length/total length/thickness. Can't find them on Busse Collector and while it's true I can measure them myself, I always try to have the 'official' numbers.
Also I was wondering if the handle was the same for all "Street" knives and it's just the blade shape that's different? I really like the handle, fits my hand perfectly, so if so I'll have to pick up the rest sometime. :) Thanks.

Dave

Going by memory, I think it was 4-1/8" blade and 8-3/4" OAL. I don't remember the official thickness though. I have one that's a "keeper". I had a mean street before that and I think the handles were similar but maybe not exactly the "same". I think the HS was a little narrower and taller but I don't have the MS anymore to compare.

If it was ever a 'Ganza knife (can't remember), then Jerry might have posted specs in the 'Ganza thread. Other than that, there would be no 'official' specs.

My own measurements:

OAL= 8-3/4
Blade length= approx. 4"
Actual edge length= 3-1/4"
Spine thickness= 3/16"

My personal belief is that these were ground from Mini Sus Scrofa blanks, as the High Street blade profile will fit inside the dimensions of a SS blade profile. If true (and I have no confirming source), this would be a really clever & innovative way to use up excess SS stock. The High Street is a nice handy little fixed blade! :thumbup:

I concur with everything stated here . . . everything! :thumbup:

I tell you, I would be sad, I think that if they took some of those SS blanks and made them into straight edged versions..........just saying. That would be handy!
