Search and Rescue, hunters, firefighters, crossing guards, and backpackers all seem to be using gear and clothing that are easy to see.

Sometimes people feel that orange or yellow take away from the traditional look and feel of their tools, myself included. I have never truly lost tools in the outdoors, but I certainly have misplaced them for a very long time, wasting valuable time looking for it and stressing out over the safety factor if someone were to find it with their foot or reach into the thick foliage with their hand and get bit by a knife.

Post your orange, red, yellow, or any highly visible tools.

Scott Gossman is making me two knives, a chopper and hunting knife, both with orange G10 handles.

For me this is a big step because as a veteran I have always had camouflaged gear. I am finally mentally moving past my need to hide.

I guess you could call it that. :D

Honestly it is a psychological thing. My life, for quite a few years, was if I stick out I die. I am just now starting to move past that -- which is nice. Knives as therapy -- whoulda think it?

Cool,I love high vis on my tools.

John, those look amazing and the trio that MykelM posted is really nice too:thumbup: I see some sharp steel that I need to have!

I've almost lost knives by leaving them on the ground or a rock..... + I really like orange too so I've moved a lot of my knives to that color. I especially have this problem when hunting/processing game but I've started using an orange Z-blade (think disposable scalpel). Here's a quick & dirty shots I took of my orange knives recently (couple missing):

Off to look at JK's site,

Eli

I remember when the ESEE Venoms were announced and there was so much push back. Seems to have settled down. I'm partial to orange myself for practical reasons.
