I'm awaiting a Trance with G-10,CF,or Ti handles and S30V blade steel. Anyone else care to see this new creation? The Trance is by and far one of the best knives! I've Edc'd for over two years!

Personnaly I would rather vote for a Direckt, with N690Bo made in solingen, but making some CLB Designs in limited edition or even regular line with better materials is definitely an idea to look into.
 
The basic models have certainly been popular enough to consider sprint runs, perhaps of best-sellers.

I AGREE completely with this statement!!! There are some models that have "earned the right" to be made into higher end, limited run versions...

I think this would be feasible and making a test run with one model would be worth it.

I wonder what TJT and TOBIAS think...ahem-ahem.;)

Oh ya this would be a great Idea hope it happens. or even the Subcom or Subclaw..:thumbup:
 
Highend Trance would be mighty nice! MPT with G10 would be very very sweet too. And Direkt. Ah, there should be new CLB line all together. Some cool handle material, new steels and maybe even some new blade types only for those Highend line of CLB versions. One can dream.

I'd love to see some higher end CLB stuff. Nice, textured G10 and a better steel. And a Wharnie blade. Not too high end for us po' folk tho. :D
 
Honestly even a trance with g-10 and S30V blade steel would be amazing! This would keep the price affordable for most as well. The only complaint I have with my Trance is that I sure do have to sharpen it quite a bit. S30V steel should remedy this nicely:thumbup:
 
Personally I feel that the original subcom should be done up in a high end steel with a Ti lock side G-10 or Micarta front side. I know I would be all over one because it would give me the things that keep me from buying the subcom as it stands today.

+1...I would love a higher end Wharcom and SubClaw!!!:D

Maybe the high-end models could have some G-10 or Micarta in different colors (non-black).

I think the Trance is a truly superior design, and worthy of more incarnations. I love the simplicity of it, and the size is perfect.
 
I've been thinking of getting the Hyper lately and that got me dreaming of a Trance with the Ti coating, drop point, and a nice black G10 scale. Drooling right now just thinking of it!
 
I'd be in for G10 or Micarta and better steel. In my experience though, Ti, when used for the lock material tends to wear quickly when engaging steel. Therefore, I'd stay with a knife steel back.
 
I'm in for a high end SubCom F and MPT I'd opt for either before a one off custom

Had to edit that was a bit over the top. In all honesty there are one off customs I'd prefer over a high end SubCom F and MPT, a custom by chad would be awesome for instance. That said I'd prefer either high end SubCom F and MPT over any other production knife.

Thanks for the great feedback for a "Higher End" model...there WAS supposed to be one in the works some years ago IIRC...again, perhaps Marketing can remind them?:p

IMHO, the Trance is deserving of a High End model, as is the SUBCOM F. However, I do see my MPD (YES...a Drop Point Version) wearing G10, and a black ti-coat. *DROOL*...

Since I live in Hawaii, my ideal Trance would be Ti scales and XT15 steel...purdy much maintenance FREE!!!:D
