When I was a teenager I taught myself to throw spin (Circus?) style, the hobby lasted until I moved out on my own and was unwilling to risk my security deposit on a miss. Years later I'm looking to get back into the hobby and will be replacing my old United Cutlery knives with something a bit better.
I've been looking at Flying Steel, Crescent Knife Works and Bill Page knives; of the three companies, I'm most leaning towards a set of Flying Steel knives. It looks like I can get a full set of five knives for about the cost of one or three CKW throwers and I'm too indecisive to pick which thrower I want most from BP's stock. Flying Steel is mostly touted as no-spin knives on the internet so I'm wondering how they'll handle with full and double spin throwing.
PS: I guess I should mention I'm looking at the North Wind and West Wind knives from Flying Steel. Also, has anyone opted for some of Flying Steel's custom sheaths? I believe they're outsourced, is the quality on par with what I've read about their knives?
