Highest Quality Sharpener under $100

I bought a Lansky pro setup with a base, then a fine diamond and sapphire stone. It works pretty well for under $100 total. Lansky also has a diamond system that comes with diamond hones for around $65. I seriously considered spyderco's sharpmaker, but I don't trust myself to hold the knife steady enough to keep a consistent bevel.

That being said the Lansky guide doesn't keep you at an exact angle either.

I think with 100 dollar you can get some pretty decent sharpening stone's/wet stone's wich will make any knife hair shaving sharp. (with some practice ofcourse)

Lansky Diamond Deluxe Sharpening System $62 shipping included

Spyderco Sharpmaker $58 shipping included

on amazon

But i use the Lansky 4 rod in ceramic

I've had the lansky and the sharpmaker. The lansky is better for re-profiling and putting a nice mirror polish and the sharpmaker is just so easy to use and gives you a great edge with the UF stones, its up to you.

Arkansas stones, and learn to free-hand. Its becoming a lost art.

Get a soft and hard Arkansas the pick up a black Arkansas for final polishing.
