Hi Guys,
Here's a Ranger RD-7 I purchased from a fellow forum member. It is brand new, complete with the black nylon sheath with utility pouch. The only thing it has cut is a piece of paracord for its wrist lanyard. It has black micarta grips.
Here is a list of the modifications I performed:
Removed black coating- (pure ugliness underneath, but it helps the coating stay on)
Polished entire knife
Beveled/polished all edges
opened up and beveled finger choil
Installed thumb notches
Sculpted grips
Reprofiled edge on beltsander to a much thinner profile. Real slicer now!
Ground in penetrator tip
Ground in serrations on top and bottom edges
Annealed the pommell and redrilled the thong hole. (It looked like it had been blown in with a torch)
Added a lanyard
Sharpened to hair popping sharp.
