i've been using these knives and have been very impressed. the one thing i didn't like was how the blade edge contacts the handle in the closed position. i thought about gluing in a piece of wood or leather, but i wanted to use something that could be replaced if it wore down. i took a piece of paracord, and "mushroomed" the ends to keep it in place. it has worked very well so far, and these are the sharpest out the box knives i own.

Good idea..hat it when knives dull when they are closed....but only on cheap knives I guess

One fellow modded his by simply squeezing the handle closed enough so that the wedge of the blade kept it from contacting the back.

Cool, just did this to mine. Btw, if you ever find that it opens too easily you can tap the pivot pin down a little with a hammer and if that gets it too tight you can carefully twist the handles and get it loose.

Be careful with pivot, I actually loosened one of mine.
Like this japanese fellow once told here, they used to tighten the handle so that the blade kind of sits on it instead of hitting the frame. Great little knives.

i read the post about squeezing the handles on this forum - and it definitely works. i just liked the idea of having an extra shock-absorber in there in case i dropped it.
