I am looking to buy a new Higonokami.
Maybe Titanium frame, Damascus blade, traditional?

I need suggestions or links to good ones, so I don't get burnt, because don't know enough about them to know if it is good or not.

From $1 to less than $200.

Thanks.

I'd suggest you browse the Higo section at some big knife shop and buy a cheap one that has the crappy fold-over handle and totally screams Higo to you, then also buy yourself an Ohta or something similar and carry that instead.

I'm about to start a batch, lmk if I can assist

I have a bar of Damascus

Sorry, HSC /// , I missed your reply - please let me know what you are planning on making, when, etc.

A Higonokami is a friction folder. If you've never had one before, I'd suggest you try out a cheap one first. The pattern may not be to your taste. I got one and the first thing I did was make a sheath for it so it wouldn't open in my pocket. It's an OK knife, but I like other patterns better.

Good point. I have sheaths for mine. Also some like Otha's come tight. As you know the pivot is sometimes accessible and can be adjusted for the amount of friction tension.

Yes, I agree. I bought one of Nighthaxan's Friction Folders a while ago and paid extra to have a slip sheath made for it.
