sorry there aren't more pics but the camera batteries died here

this knife is pretty sweet. i had my concerns about the paracord wrap being comfortable and i've heard some talk about them not being very durable so i wanted to test it out. it's not quite as comfortable as micarta on bare hands but it's excellent with gloves. i can get a better grip on the cord with gloves than i can on scales. as for durability, i don't think it'll be an issue. i proceeded to bash the front of the handle with a baton about ten times and there was very minimal noticeable wear on the cord. the only real disadvantage to it is cleaning underneath it. anybody have any ideas?

the other thing about this knife is i put an asymmetric edge on it. sharpened one side on the belt sander to a shallow convex and left the other side alone. i would have polished the other side but i don't have anything for a flat v grind. it performed well though. not quite as well as my fully convexed edges, but not bad. it doesn't shave as well as it did, although i suspect it would have done better if i had polished the other side. i did do a significant amount of chopping.

Man, looks like a great time.

Solitude... What all men/women need occasionally...

The SFNOs are one of the greatest all purpose blades Jerry has made. I know I love my user! :)

And nice work on the wrap - thanks for your review:thumbup::D

Beautiful pictures, and thank you very much for your input on the paracord handle wrap. I WANT TO MOVE! :D

Looks like a fun trip. The handle wrap looks good. I've been wanting to try it myself but, I just can't bring myself to remove perfectly good slabs.
