Well, I went for a hike with my youngest son today and took the new boots out for a try on the First Creek Trail at the Red Rock Conservation Area. We were only out for a few hours and had a great time. I took along a BK11 but forgot to include it in the pictures.
Here are some of the pics:





The trail starts off with classic desert scenery and parallels a wash back up toward the mountains. In spite of the trail name, a lot of people hike along the trail and never even realize that there is a creek running nearby. At one point along the stream there is a pretty waterfall, but we did not climb down to the bottom.
