Man....... it's still cold and dank up here. Texas sounds/looks good right now. Great pics.

That gossman psk...... did you order it with the scales, or do it yourself? I have seen several members here that have them, but not with scales.

Texas is Great--until it gets HOT

As far as the Gossman--got it from the man that put them on himself

Makes it feel SO MUCH BETTER

Tactical lollipop.

Nice pictures.

Very similar terrain to what I'm out in a lot. And you are right about the "good until hot" part. :D A hike in the winter that might take 3 1/2 hours can take 5 hours easily in the middle of summer.

I see. I thought so as I have never seen one with scales. Looks great. Like the orange!

As tired as I do get of winter around here, I could never move. Just too nice during spring, summer, fall, and too many cool places. Pics like yours do help get us winter crazed PNW'ers through it.

Great day to be outside - I'm in Dallas and I'm wishing I could be outside right now as well! Great pics and great looking family! :)

Great pics as usual Doc! I am green with envy, 82 degrees!!! man oh man.

wow, 82 degrees...i've forgotten how that feels like. that bk-10 looks really nice!

William, I am originally from OK, so I have an idea just how hot it can get there. Nothing like a windy day where it feels like someone is taking a heat gun to ya.

Good looking area though, and some great companions! I especially like the Crewman you got there, really nice handles on that.

Thanks Derek---I feel the Crewman is a very underrated knife

I also have a Becker Campanion with Bill SIegle G-10 Grips

Sold off all the other Beckers

I coulds use some warm weather here as well!
Question; That Maratac water bottle bag, is it any wider inside (without the liner) than a Maxpedition 10 x 4?

Nice shots Bill, I always look forward to your pics for several reasons. Nice weather, beautiful area, wild plants, knives, a cool dog, and a pretty woman always make for an enjoyable read. The butterfly shots are really cool, looks like somebody made a friend. I'll have to remember that little trick. I see you found more of that cactus, no fruit on it now though eh. How do you like the scales on the Izula? I have mine wrapped with cord, I've thought about the scales but wonder about the comfort.

Never saw the Maxpedition water bottle in person-so I have no idea

Got the Maratac for $20 shipped on the forums--Carol loves it

Thanks for all the kind words Mist:thumbup:

I sold the Izula yesterday--wife liked the Gossman better

The handle is too short for me

Going to try a Izula II next

I looked at the Izula II recently, but didn't get one yet. May have to try one out sooner or later. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it. I like how the Izula is compact and tucks away in my camera kit. I think I am just going to leave it wrapped though.
