My wife took a day off to go for a hike with me today as it was such a nice day! So I just thought I would share some of the pics.:)

The terrain was quite hard going!

NIce....I took a nice hike with my wife on sunday...It's our secret to a happy marriage....that and alcohal...LOL....Great photos, things around here are not that green yet

I'm going to have to invest in a digital camera of our own, but, I won;t be able to post pictures of such beautiful scenery! I enjoy the desert southwest, having lived here all my life, but it's much harder to get breathtaking photos.

Good job PitMan. Such fine work deserves......................... a new knife! And with Mrs PitMan having had to drag that birdhouse and cement anchor all the way up there, it occurs to me she may be too tired to fight you about a new purchase! (No...I will not let this die)
:D

Yeah I'll agree with that, some beer always make the relationship go smoother and after a hike I always feel I have earned a little Amber Nectar !!!

Don't get me started on that again mate !!!

My wife agreed to an overhight hike next week. The four of us plan about 8 miles the first day and 12 the second. We shall see.

Back in the UK my wife and I would regularly hike 12 milers but there are 12 milers and 12 milers eh ?
Our hike today was maybe only 4-5 miles but that was 2-3 straight up and then 2-3 straight down.......my poor knees !!!!:(

Where's the part of the story where you broke your leg and your wife had to build a shelter, start a fire, get clean water, get supper, and fend-off grizzlies and coyotes all with a SAK Classic and a piece of string?

How did you know about that ?
I only managed to take this pic of her classic though before the bear got to the camera !

Gorgeous photos Pit man! When we lived in Oregon we used to take a ferry from Seattle up to Victoria for a vacation every year. We love your "neck of the woods".

In the mountain top photo is the camera pointed toward the Olympics across the Strait of Juan de Fuca? If so it must have been a wonderful clear day.

Yes you are quite right Kraz those are the Olympics poking above the clouds and yes it was a very clear day....for once !

LOL Pit man! Now THAT'S the Vancouver Island I remember ;)

Every time we went over to the west side of the island it looked foggy just like that!

Glad you had a beautiful sunny day! Enjoy! :D

Such a beautiful area...I'm from WA and have hiked that before. Excellent pictures BTW. I really miss the beauty of the PNW.
