Went for a hike with my son and the BK7....... We made a fire with with a firesteel and local tinder and wood. Then we put the BK7 to work chopping down a tree.

Heading out down the trail.

Nice! Days like this are what life is all about. Cool, fresh air out with your son in the great outdoors, memories that last for many years. Some of my fondest memories are times with my son sitting around our campfire on chilly nights in the mountains of northern Arizona.

Nice pics. The 7 is probably my favorite Becker. If I was stuck with only one, that would be it. Not much it can't do! I like it better stripped though. :)

That's my next project, removing the finish;)... This was my 7's first workout as I just received it Friday.

The 7 is a great knife, Although I just got a 9, so mine may be benched for a bit :P (Is that GTi on the top knife as in vw gti? I'm a big vw guy myself, I've owned at least 8 of them now. My current is an 09 GTI 2.0t.)

Nice pictures.....looks like you and your son had a good day!! I plan to strip my 7 and also make some custom wood handles......what a nice blade!!

Looks like some of the woodland in the NE US. Is that rock that you built the fire on? Or is just sandy soil mixed with ash from previous fires.

It's sandy soil mixed with ash from many previous fires;) We are in the North East near Cape Cod...

lol, no sorry. It's Justin Gingrich's custom shop logo for "Gingrich Tactical Innovations" - That top blade was originally a Ranger RD9 that I had Justin cut down to a drop point and fix the handle ergos. Really good knife and fits absolutely perfectly in the large Combat Master.
