Howdy!
I am debating getting a hiker (tactical hiker) as my next knife from John.
Currently pondering verious handles and sheath ideas.

If you have one, and can post a pic or two, I would appreciate it!

I have not sold a Hiker in about 6 or 8 months, and have never seen anyone post a pic of one. I have a bunch on my website, all of the same knife.

That's the one I was looking at. I was wondering what it would look like with a tiger stripe maple handle, as opposed to the ebony you put on my clip scout.

Then again, how about a scout with a tiger male handle? That might be cool. The ultimate non-tactical tactical knife.

A friend of mine recently picked up a 'survival' knife with a tiger stripe micarta handle, which is what started me thinking of non-standard handle variations. The tiger stripe micarta completely changed the look of the knife., like the ebony changed the feel and look of the scout you made me. More upscale, if that may be the correct term.

Here is one I did in customer supplied birdseye maple, with red liners. I forgot I still had this picture.

Thanks, John, that's exactly what I wanted to see.
Since all the other pics I saw on your site are of the black micarta, I wanted to see how it would look with another color.
That birdseye maple is pretty much as far as you can get from black micarta.

mmmmm birdseye maple, I was wondering what the knife looked like. That was some fantastic maple, I'm glad I was able to get a little of it on my baby kephart.
