Hiking Big Bear CA in early spring
I have been preparing for my down and up in a day hike of the Grand Canyon which is coming up soon. I have hiked in the San Bernardino Mountains since I was 4 years old. It is a beautiful place and there are some good hikes and some decent peaks between 8,00-9,000 feet. A little on the dangerous side for those not familiar with the area. Here is just another day hike from yesterday.

The south facing slopes look like this
This is actually the trail
Approaching from the other side this is a little dangerous because it just looks like a hill of snow until you walk on it like I did.
A few critters were out too. The trail has a way of telling a story, who and what was there before me.
