Hiking Boots?

Hello. I'm going on a jungle expedition in Costa Rica in March. I'm looking for a good pair of hiking boots in the 100-150 dollar range. I will be hiking around 10 miles a day through dense wet jungle as well as doing some mountainous hiking. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks very much.

There are certainly brands that are better than others, but different boots fit people differently. I generally recommend going with as light of a boot as you can. Meaning, if I can get away with a 1.5lb/pair of trail runners instead of a 3lb pair of boots, I will.

Check out Asolo, Merrell, Salomon,and Lowa as some reputable brands.

Also, backpacker.com has a lot of reviews on different boots.
