I just ordered a hiking buddy. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a nice leather sheath that is available for immediate ordering?

I am a big fan of the sheaths that Blind Horse Knives sells. Great quality, double stitched and you can choose from belt or dangler carry.
I think the #17 will fit that knife perfect. It has a removable dangler so you can wear it as a belt sheath or can wear it as a dangler.

Check with both Andy's advertised sheath makers. Both have his patterns and do very good work. They just may have something quickly available.

Rick Lowe and Heber make nice leather sheaths I have sheaths from both makers. I really dig Rick's style. Heber sheaths look simpler but their function is the hidden gem with them. Top notch ratings from me on both of their work.

Check one of the Fiddleback Friday threads I think Andy provides the contact info. I'm on my phone and can't get to my email to grab their info for you right now

Hey man! I did the same thing you did before I ordered a custom sheath for my first Fiddleback. Please excuse the old pictures.

This is from before I ordered my RLO sheath.

And here is from later when my ED Karda had custom pants made. The Hiking Buddy fits just as well in the Allegheny sheath.

The overal length isn't that much off.

My EDK now rides in complete style. ;)
I won't need to convince you that the KSF sheath will be temporary.

Again, please excuse the older pics if you have already seen them. I guess I can post some new ones...

Good luck!

I just ordered a horizontal carry for my Hiking Buddy from Heber. I'll have to post picks when it arrives.

Here's the knife. Not sure if this particular one ever made it to FF.

Thanks for the pics guys. Mr. Lowe is making me one this weekend for my hiking buddy. I think I am gonna have him make me one for my Recluse as well.

Here are a few comparison pics of RLO's sheaths & Herber sheaths. Both I love but different styles of course. The bushboot is pictured with both makers sheaths & the hiking has a Herber sheath that he dyed mahogany which matches the maroon linen real well. (I have a thing for Andy's maroon linen setup. So if anyone out there have some in that configuration I would be interested.)

Heber
is making me a health for my hiking buddy. I'll be able to carry it horz or vert. I'm looking forward to get it.
