For anyone interested, I'll be at Island Ford Park tomorrow at 10 am for a couple hours of hiking the Chattahoochee at one of my favorite ATL parks, Island Ford. Below are a couple of links with some info about the park and maps. Shoot me a pm, text or email if you want to join up. I always park in the second lot by the pond, which is at marker 9 on the trail map.

Directions from 400 North:

Take exit 6 (Northridge Rd) and exit to the right.

At the first light turn right onto Dunwoody Place.

At Roberts Drive turn right (there will be a Coca-Cola bottling facility on the left).

At Island Ford Parkway turn right into the park.

Drive about 1 mile to the second parking lot on the left, which is across from the pond.

Wish I could go down yonder on the Chattahoochee with you all. Hopefully it's not hotter than a hootchie cootchie.

Come on Justen. Alan Jackson won't be happy with me unless I got a little giggle out of you.

Oh, Alan and I both had a good chuckle. We have an inner tube and river cold Busch Ice with your name on it for a float down the Hooch.

Hope to make it up there tomorrow SG... But I'll let you know to confirm.

I was over hiking at the Sope Creek/Cochran Shoals Unit today with my son and daughter. There is an old paper mill ruins off one of the trails.

Say it isn't so... But I wasn't even carrying a Fiddleback today.

That's a cool spot. Bring your kids tomorrow if you can make it. I'll have Madden with me.

Wish I could make it out tomorrow but I have way too much going on at the moment. I definitely will be hitting up that spot as soon as I can though. Thanks for the heads up. I'm also psyched you linked that Atlanta trails site. That's gonna come in real handy as a new Georgian. :D

For reals? That's a big move(!).

Time to change your Bladeforums address thingy ("Location," in your Profile settings).

Yep. It's for reals. [emoji2] Definitely a big move. I started in November and still have one more truck load in the basement of my old house in Massachusetts. Traveling around the country for a living doesn't lend itself to getting things done in a timely manner. [emoji2] Plus, I moved into my fiancé's house in Woodstock and we just bought a house in Canton so I get to move again next month. [emoji33]

Thanks for the heads up about my profile! I never would've thought of that. [emoji106]

I have no idea what my excuse is. :o

Without getting all Googly, by this I take it that there is a Canton and also a Woodstock in Georgia, in addition to their real® locations...? ;)

For the three or so of us who actually look there, it helps. :D

Hope your things stop moving around soon, and you all end up in the same place. :)

Lol. I have a book full of excuses. You can borrow it sometime if you like. [emoji2]

Yes, both are in Georgia as well as other states around the country. The new house is only about 6 miles from where I'm at now so it's really not that big a move. Everything should be in the same place by mid May. [emoji2]
