I took the day off today and went up to Sequoia with Christian for a little hiking and sight seeing. Here are some pictures I took..

Here's a tree that was hollowed out by fire

Here's one of two bears we saw. I think this guy was looking for grub. The other one was less than 10 feet away from us when we almost ran into him on the trail.

Here's a little guy hiding in a hole in a rock!

great pics Ray... i love that area... i can't wait to get back there...:)

where are the pics of Bear?? did he get to go??

Could I see more shots of the knife in photo 4 by any chance?:D

Awesome pics though, those trees are huge!

Mike, unfortunately dogs aren't allowed on any trails in the park. Bear knew I was going hiking and he really wanted to come along. I felt bad for him. I will take him out this weekend.

Fonly, that's the knife that Christian and I made a couple of weeks ago. I think he might have some pictures of it.

Where were those pictures taken that were not in the sequoia grove, with the stream and granite cliffs? I don't recognize it.

John, that cliff in the 4th picture behind Christian is the Watchtower and the stream is the bottom of Tokopah Falls.

Thanks for posting these pics!!!
This mouse cracks me up. If it is cool with you I would like the mouse pic for some photoshop fun.

Its realy amazing how big those trees are... But then when you stand next to them its realy an eye opener that no book or pic can show...

Awesome photos!

I have never been to that area, but it's on my list of definite must-do trips.

Thanks for posting,

- Mike
