Awesome pics Mist! We are very fortunate to be so close to the Smokies. We need to set up a dayhike this fall. Im sure there would be others interested for sure.
Oh, and the knife is killer as well although these might be the only pics that can hang in the same shot as Andys knives.
Great pics, and Andys knife looks awesome. I need to know one thing though, am I the only one that thinks the first mushrooms look like really old boobs?
Thanks for the pictures. It is a very beautiful area. I am hoping to move up that way some time in the future. Should have been there by now, but the economy put a little ding in my plans.
and of course Andy's knife looks great

Great pictures Mistwalker. Looks like you got quite close to that bear. Do you see alot of them? Beautiful area and that stream ...wow
I didn't even know Ginseng grew in the Smokies and elsewhere in the United States. I did a search after reading you post to read up on it. Quite interesting story. There seems to be quite a lot of poaching going on of Ginseng and other protected species. They have had to go high tech and are injecting the specimens with dye and implanting silicon chips in order to identify those plants that originated from public lands. Now they are even adding DNA markers to the dye. It is legal in other parts of the country to harvest Ginseng but you must have a permit and buyers must have a license.
Nice Pics glad to see you were able to get away Did you find your knife?
Hey, that's my backyard.
Love those spots, nothing in the world better than a trip to the Smokies. You ever find that trail I sent you too, Mr. Mist?
