Hey, does anyone know of some decent places that you can hike with a dog on the west side of salt lake valley? I cant bring a dog up most of the canyons on the east side and theres too much snow up there for me as is, i dont snow-shoe (yet). I was looking down around herriman today but everything had "No Trespassing" signs. Im not looking for something terribly remote, just somewhere that people wouldnt mind a small fire and a lose dog. Any leads appreciated.

(if this is in the wrong forum, i apologize)

There was a nice place on the side of Snow Bird that had nice trails. Also, check out the Arboratem at the college there. That was nice for learning some plants around there.

I live in South Ogden and behind Weber State is a butt load of trails.
I take my dog everytime I go up....

Beus Canyon Trail
Ben Lomond Peak
Bonneville Shoreline Trail
Malans Peak
Waterfall Canyon

One of my favorites is Indian Trail, its a short hike but its pretty awesome.

Hey thanks for the responses. Snowbird has a little too much snow for me and ogden is a bit out of the way but i appreciate the help. I talked to my friends uncle and he told me about millcreek canyon near parleys. Its pretty nice up there and they allow dogs, but you have to pay a toll to drive up. But anyway, thanks again, ill have to check out those places whenever i head up north.
