Nice weather today, so me and the smaller unit went for a hike. Here are some shots:

This is the area we were in today.

Found this debris shelter someone made. Pretty sturdy actually:

I tracked it and waited for it to cross the trail. Couldn't have timed it better. ( sorry, goofed up the size.)

We had a great time. My son has a good eye for stuff in the bush.
As far as blades go , I'm really an Esee fan , but took some others out to play today. Carved some hiking staffs with the BK-2. Great bush knife to have if you got only one , but HEAVY to carry around, even in the backpack.
Ironically, I'm getting an Esee-5 next week. I actually like carrying smaller blades like the Esee 3 or 4 , or the F1 when going on hikes, but today , the Pendleton did a great job for an inexpensive knife , and the BK did an outstanding job cutting poles. Thanks for looking folks.

Hiya Hiwa,

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

You mention that you're getting an RC-5. Don't you think it will be more or less another BK-2?

Doc

Yeah , I thought of that. I'm going to keep the Becker in the Jeep for emergency use , and the RC-5 for big bush trips. If I have to keep only one ,the Esee edges out the Becker by a small margin.
