yes, just make sure it shows,; otherwise, they can arrest you for a "concealed" weapon.

California is open carry on the waist; no size limit. Los Angeles county has a 3 inch limit for fixed blade length.

Thanks.I have AK chiruwa 18". I don't wanna be arrested and loose my AK. Plus I will take my Bow,because it's hunting season start in October.

Sounds like according to kngfhearts it MUST show. Open carry. If it's covered you have a concealed weapon.

Unless you plan to do a little bush crafting on the hunt I'd probably leave it at home. My hunting days are long over but with a bow I liked to travel minimalist. Nothing more than I absolutely needed. Creeping through the brush you might get tired of that large a blade hanging on your belt and the possible noise that goes with it.

Just a thought.

I think an IBBB would be the perfect companion myself. I've often thought it would make a perfect skinning knife. It's shaped just right. I'm not familiar with them two you mention but they sound like fighting pointy knives which really wouldn't be too handy on animal processing. But maybe so, like I say I don't know what they look like.

I'll do like my kid says to me all the time and google it.

Took a trip to google and never left the farm. I'd definitely go with the BK2. Tanto point wouldn't be great on an animal process, great for an attacking critter either 2 or 4 legged though. Still not as good as a IBBB but pretty durn nice.

Yeah a khuk would be good if you're doing some clearing and wood processing, looks really cool, but it's heavy and could be cumbersome. The recon would be a good choice if you need a tactical option while lightening your pack. But if you're going to jus prepare game and wood, I'd jus go with the bk2, I do everything with mine and it gets the job done, jus not a very good personal defense tool :p

I go hunting in Marin County in the SF Bay Area. I would carry CS Recon, or similar blade, and the IBBB, for smaller tasks. That is my usual setup now that I have an IBBB. I think the BK2 is a little heavy for my taste.
