Hill Knives from Holland

I don't know anything about the company, but if you run a currency conversion it seems as though you are paying an awful lot for what you get. 210 Euros currently equals about $275. For about half the money you could get a BM Skirmish, Griptilian or Ritter grip with IMHO better materials and they would probably perform equally well, or a Buck Strider, or even one of the larger Spydercos such as the Manix. However everyone's tastes are different, so if this is one you really like I'd say they look like pretty decent Knives. ATS 34 is a pretty good steel IMHO and the field testing reports said positive things. The only thing I personally would be wary about is the ABS handle material, I don't know how grippy it would be if it got wet or covered with blood. However, that's all just my speculation, so hopefully someone here will be able to provide you with better info.

I do not know for the folder but about 15 years ago, I owned and used a Hill knife (the one they made for Dutch commandos , looked like the one they still make today ) : D2 steel , green micarta and nick silv guard I believe. The sheath was made of green molded leather and too beautiful to be used. D2 steel tarnished but it was a very good knife.

I sold it when I left the army, I had more use for money than for the knife back in civilian life.
