Hill Knives of Holland

They are great! I bought the Commando Dagger and it is very well made and super pointy like any great dagger should be! The handmade quality and attention to detail are superb.

Never owned one but they are one of those companies that is either doing everything right or assassinating anyone who speaks badly of them.

Because I’ve never found anyone saying anythinf bad about them.
 
They are doing everything right. They're expensive....but the highest quality.

The (now deceased) Queen Consort Prince Bernhard of Orange was a fan. They've made special daggers for both the Belgian and Dutch Commando Corps.

They really are very good....prepare to cry over your wallet though.

From what all you gentlemen are saying about them I now must get one but what price are we talking? my last big purchase was the wonderful Spartan George v-14 will it be around that price???
 
In general they are very well made knives with also very well hardened steel.
Possible points of attention could be the quite obtuse edge angles, as well as the area behind the edge being on the thick side.
The knives can of course handle quite a bit of abuse that way, but actually cutting things can be problematic without reprofiling and/or regrinding.
I've reprofiled quite a few of them already, but for regrinds i'll recommend the owners to have Hill Knives take care of that (which they do upon request)
 
I checked out their website- has kind of a William Henry look to it, as far as the knives go. Added bonus of the dagger;).

Currently I do not own any Hill knives anymore. But i have had several ( 6 or 7) including one of their folders. All very high quality, superb fit & finish and an eye for detail. They can be quite expensive but worth every penny. Unfortunately i had to sell them years back when i needed the money. And of course when in need, the best knives are desired the most by buyers.
 
Dont own any , wish I did.
Handled them on knifeshows here, excellent knives.
Their outdoor folder is the smoothest you ever felt on washers.
As if it is on bearings.
And many dutch knife enthousiast speak very highly of them.

Friendly people too.

I just ordered the Commando Dagger also, is the sheath made out of leather or plastic? Regards Hermit.
