Got out with a dog today for some nice hill walking in a place called Vedauwoo (Vee-da-vou).

There is some decent hunting back in the hills and I thought I'd do a little scouting. Saw some Elk and Deer sign (plus a couple of cottontails), but not a lot of activity. Park was fairly crowded, this being Labor Day weekend, and the area is really dry. Many of the beaver ponds were dried mud flats. I hopeful that things will normalize with the Fall.

Spectacular scenery:

My Gossman EDC saw duty in cutting up beef jerky for the hound and me at lunch:

Said hound; he chased out the cottontails and generally searched for vermin:

Nice day despite the heat. Some of the Aspen are starting to turn golden; maybe Fall is on the way.

Beautiful scenery, nice looking dog and wow, I like that EDC. I don't remember seeing that one before. I like everything about it.

The EDC was a design I sent Scott, and he created for me. Small package, but plenty of performance. Very easy to carry--did about 8-10 miles of walking, never noticed it on my hip. If I had to do it over again, I'd add 1/2" to the handle.

Good to know. That is something I have really been paying attention to lately. Even a small knife for me needs a full size handle.
I love the look of that one. It has a classic, classy look and I'm betting it cuts like a dream.

Great scenery and a cute pup. Always enjoy a good hike with my pups. That knife is really good lookin'. I agree about the length of handles, I have big hands.

That looks like a great place to spend time. I bet your pooch loves it there. That was a great design for an EDC but I agree, alittle longer handle would be better. Love your hat too.
Scott

That was the only pic I had. I can arrange for more. :untroubled:

Scott posted a good pic of the knife when he first made it on the Gossman Knives picture thread, page 8. I can shoot a couple more for ya and post 'em here. I'll try to get one of the knife in hand to give you a better representation of the size.

Here's Scott's pic, very nice design.

This would not have been out of place on a mountain man's belt. Very nice knife.

i agree...great looking knife. handle looks super comfy. what are the specs rotte?

Here is a comparison shot of the EDC, a PSK, a SAK, and....some other Gossman knife....a MUCK? The knife I don't know the name of is one of my favorites and has the most use of the four.
