I have some background in asian medicine and massage techniques.

Can anyone reccomend a Book or other informational/instructional material on the Filipino healing art of Hilot?

I am a Doctor of Chiropractic and currently attending Medical School. I've watched for information on Hilot, but the most I've found is an occassional magazine article that doesn't explain much. Sam Tendencia seems to be the guy mentioned the most. Hilot is said to consist of deep tissue massage, joint manipulation, and pressure point work. I'd like some more info too, if anyone has some particulars.

I'm fascinated by the idea of a Dr. of Chiropratic going into allopathic medicine!
How are they treating you? How far along are you; what are the similarities in the curriculum, the real differences, etc.? Are finding medical doctors to be as anti-chiropractic as you had believed?

"Fascinating," to quote Spock...Mr., not Dr.

My mother is manghihilot ( I mean she can perform this method in healing some one of flu, having stif-neck, or being light orthopedic problems) and could do abortion out of hilot. But I don't know how to describes in words the technicalities but I witnessed how she do it when she trying to prevent a woman of getting to pregnancy.

Just to justify that hilot is working.
Thanks
