Hi There,
Found this at a yard sell and was wondering about the markings etc...and the gent. told me he has owned it for 25-30 years..sorry about the pics...it is not as shiny and finished as some I have seen on the forums it also has a upside down pitch fork/chicken foot? not sure if that is the correct term for it but that is the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw it. It appears to be approx..3/16ths thick and the sheath is worn with 2 small rusted knives..anyways any info would be greatly appreciated. There is also a stamp on the opposite side Nnia.
Thanks
Kris

the british broad arrow acceptance mark is used to stamp just about everything military in the UK since crecy & agincourt. clothing, accessories, weapons, rations, dogs, cats, etc. (it is also widely counterfeited.)

in the US military they say if it moves, salute it, if it doesn't move, paint it.
in the UK it's paint it and put a broad arrow on it.

this is a photo of a swallowtail arrow point for an english longbow arrow.

they used other styles, the bodkin point against armour was another.

This is why I'm so glad you post here:D

Looks like an AC to me as well. It's tough to say as to what the quality is, but I have seen much much worse. For yardsale prices, you probably made out pretty good:)

I too had one of the AC types, but weren't those based on an earlier, already established model of khuk used in one of the World Wars? Knifecoop might have something a little more prestigious on his hands. Where's Spiral?

Nice picture, It is not made by HI
