Just a note to say I've been a "lurker" for about 4 months now and read the messages daily. I really enjoy the pix and comments on Kukhries and I expect that I will order one at some stage. I do have an original Indian Army Khukri but it was in poor condition until I cleaned all the rust off the blade and sharpened it up. Unfortunately the scabbard is full of worm holes, but I'm still pleased to have it. I collect mainly custom knives, pistols and rifles. I feel really envious of the range of firearms that are available in the USA and the low prices compared with New Zealand. Pistols and military semi-automatic rifles are strictly controlled in NZ and a person has to belong to a club approved by the Police Commissioner, in order to own them. Got off the track of HI for a moment but keep up the interesting messages. JimH-NZ

Welcome, Jim, and thanks for decloaking. You can't go wrong with any of HI's products and, as I imagine you've seen, there is a wide range of styles to suit just about any needs or tastes.

Try to look at the small islands down on the world map! There pistols are just banned, small rifles are restricted and large rifles are MORE restricted! The laws are so harsh that only thousands of pistols are owned by LEOs, and hundreds of thousnds of pistols are owned by gangsters illegally.

Welcome aboard Jim! Be careful! The dreaded HIKV is very strong! Same power like the Black Holes in space!

Don't worry about the gun topics, because there are alot of us here too! The way things are looking in California, gun ownership looks bleak. Public schools are teaching children that guns are bad and gun owners cause all the crime! If they ever ban legal stuff, I'll just get Mr. MAC 10 from Mr. bad guy.

As far as Japan is concerned, I'll stick to my blades, and maybe if I need something, my buddy could get me a Tokarev while there.
