first blade is a 25" kobra....about 95% condition....i brought out the temper line as all these HI blades are zone hardened...soft at the spine to absorb impact, hard on the edge to maintain sharpness....made by bura, arguably the "best" kami/knifemaker at Himalayan Imports....very nice blade about 3/8" thick....a 25" kobra lists on the HI site for $150 shipping not included....i'll let it go for $110 shipped....
second blade is the jewel of this collection....it is truly a one-of-a-kind blade as it was custom ordered....it is a 20" sirupati with a thickness of 3/8"...about 95% condition...the unique thing about this blade is the chiruwa handle..."chiruwa" means that it has a full tang with handle slab construction instead of the normal rat tail tang...rat tails are full tang also, but they are tapered, chiruwas are not....chiruwa handled sirupatis are not standard items and this particular knife was personally ordered by Uncle Bill...quickness of a kobra, strength of an Ang Khola....and i asked for Kesar to make the blade as he best at hardening a blade in my opinion...the HI site lists a standard handle 20" sirupati for $125...keep in mind that mine is a custom chiruwa handled blade...i'll let it go for $110 shipped...
third blade is an 20" kobra....also made by bura...i would say 85% condition...has a small crack in the handle, but i've used it and the handle is not going anywere.....only cosmetic....solid as a rock....and if it does break, himalayan imports has a lifetime warranty on every handle and blade of every knife they put out....they stand behind their products 100%...they have a forum here, go check it out...this is my favorite blade to use...extremely quick...is a do it all blade...you can chop with it, or use it as a machete...you can use it for a defense blade as it is alive in the hand...my favorite by far...HI lists a 20" kobra for $125...i'll let it go for $80 shipping included...
4th blade is the classic chiruwa Ang Khola....full tang construction
....beefy tang is sandwiched by two handle slabs...however this Khukuri has been used a bit i would say about 75%-80% condition...however, the reason for low condition is not to a functional defect....only a huge cosmetic one...i badly dinged up the bolster while chopping some hardwoods....i eventually removed the bolster with plans to entirely rehandle the blade...i nver got around to rehandling, but since the bolster was off, the blade/handle junction had a lot of sharp edges... i took a dremel tool to smooth up and dehorn all the sharp edges...no metal was taken from any place that would weaken the blade in terms of function....also, this blade does not come with a sheath....this is a shop 1 bhirgorka blade and there is no kami markings...the HI site lists a CAK for $145...i'll let it go for $70 shipping included...
buy all 4 for $300 shipping included!!!
the rest of the blades comes with a sheath, but none of the blades come with karda or chakma...that is reason for the discounts...
now for the pics!!!
