i'm cutting my Himalayan Imports collection down users (or rather, those wich are iether to cool to let go of/those that fit a catagory that i would actually use for something (light bush, heavy bush, splitting))... gotta pay rent and hopefully next semesters tuition
SO.....
Heres what i've got:
Ang Khola Bowie - 125$ SOLD pf
just as i got it from HI. be careful when turning this upside down in its sheath, its fairly loose and will fall to the ricasso before the handle lock catches it (wich means the blade can contact fingers). this one is roughly shaving sharp from the factory, thin edge and very pointy tip
it has the flags makers mark
20" Sirupate - 80$
exactly as i got it from HI. it has a very slight fuller along the flats of the blade. made by amtrak
18" Ang Khola (user) 40$ SOLD
this one was my heavy user. its got a patina on it, and its got some rippling on the tip side of the sweet spot. i dont have the time or desire to grind it out, and i have an 18" ang khola that has grip that fits my hand better.
a slightly older sher blade
Falcata - 265$
... the khuks i'm keeping all have rediculously solid grip handles (except the 25" ganga ram, and the 30" ang khola, those have rediculously large grips
), and this one just doesnt work with my hands. it also doesnt quite fit into my personal catagories (for this size it would be splitter, heavy brush, or sword).
the makers mark = moon
this was sold as a blem do to some Fe3O4 near the tip (black rust) wich i've mostly sanded away. this does mean that it goes from mirror finish to satin finish near the tip.
the bolster has a slight rattle in it (like a peice of sand), and there are two spots of tarnishing that can probably be sanded out. on the sheath the ring in the center is slightly loose, wich could be made solid with a little glue.
the specs for the falcata:
length from tip to pommel - 27"
length from tip to bolster - 20 1/4"
length of sharpened edge - 18"
length of usable grip in the handle - 4 3/4"
circumfrance of grip below bolster - 4"
circumfrance of grip near pommel - 3 3/4"
thickness of spine at pommel - 3/8"
thickness at 15" distal from bolster - 1/4"
thickness of fuller material - (around 1/8" - 3/16" (i dont know where my micrometer is)
thickness of tang at bolster - 1/4"
thicness of tang at pommel - 3/16"
weight of falcata - 2lbs 8.5oz
weight of falcata + sheath - 4lbs 2.5oz
balance point - 12" from pommel, 6 1/4" from you index finger in the grip position near the bolster.
all prices have the shipping included in them. i ship via usps priority with insurance, and i only ship within the united states. i can accept paypal (no extra fee) or money order. email me if your interested

the orangy yellow on the ang khola is militec oil
you can kind of make out the hardened sweet spot in this image:
again, thats not rust its just orage militec oil
. this is where i tried to take a picture of the edge using a 24-70mm lens, so it doesnt really show it all that well. i sharpened the edge to around 30 degree's per side, and it definitely needs to be reprofiled.
