Himalayas, from a fresh perspective

Thanks for link, Berk. I've climbed Dhaulagiri -- sort of -- the three steps up into the Dhaulagiri Bar at the Yak and Yeti Hotel.

Uncle, that means you've been closer than I or the astronaut:D It looks different from down below:

Actually, I've been pretty close but have never tried to climb anything -- except those three steps up to the bar and sometimes after enough Khukuri rum I didn't do very well getting back down them.

Absolutely Breath-taking Berk!!!!!!! What such a beautiful home we live on and that so many have no respect for. If we foul our nest too overly much our children aren't gonna be able to live on her.:(

Thanks, Berk.

Quote from Uncle = "and sometimes after enough Khukuri rum I didn't do very well getting back down them". I tried to get one of our big local liquor businesses to import some bottles of kukri rum (so that I could buy one or two to serve as a sideshow for my khuk collection), but no luck. They won't bite (I suppose understandably) because of all kinds of fears and reservations.

And I don't know if you can order direct or not -- but they'll have to pack the bottles VERY well if you can. Long journey for a couple of lone bottles.

Have them send over empty khukuri rum bottles and fill them with your own brand of likker....

Hey!!!! Welcome Back Harry!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Actually it would be best if you could get them full of their original rum IMO.
I'm not one that generally likes rum straight up, but the bottle Howard Wallace shared with us at the very first Khuk Khon in Reno was the absolute BEST rum I have ever poured over a lip.:D
I wouldn't mind having a bottle or four or six of my own for private stock.:D
I could probably drink Khukuri Rum until I was good and drunk, something I haven't been or done since 1975.
In the meantime if I want a drink of rum I will go for it in the standard rum & coke.
But I will probably stay with my good single malt whisky.:p

If the Khukuri rum people drop by again and I'm sure they will there's a fine endorsement for them. I notice they are using my Narita story which is fine with me. Their top of the line rum is really quite good.

Uncle Bill,

Check with them about becoming the North American Rep for the Khukri Rum Company and tell them to send over regular shipments so you can provide product samples for the unenlightened.;) :D Medicinal purposes, of course!!!;) :D

I'd get busted for bootlegging.

Only if you go back to Cherokee Kansas Bro, Only if you go back to Cherokee Kansas.:)

Or perhaps Oklahoma.:D

You probably remember the days when you would see a car really loaded down in the rear and everyone in your car would point and holler, BOOTLEGGER!!!!
That was oftentimes a big clue to whom might be a bootlegger or not.
A lot of innocent people were stopped and had their cars checked out thoroughly by just having really bad shocks and springs when they were moving.;)

Bro, you know SE KS was once the bootlegging capitol of the midwest. It may have been worth it then but not today.
