Looking for some help from the hinderer pros. I just received this scale and the seller was unsure whether it was titanium or something else. As far as I know hinderer has only made them in titanium but I’ve never seen any pictures with the tool marks this one has. It was green anodized and I removed most of that which is why it is slightly polished. I wondered if any one had one they could weigh. I figure if the weights match up it’s gotta be titanium. Right? 😂 This one weighs .8 oz.

When you lick it, does it taste like titanium?
I wouldn’t advise licking anything after it’s been on that scale. 👀 I took a grinder to the inside of it and it threw bright white sparks so I’m saying it’s titanium. At least that’s what google says.

You could always give it a go at flame anodizing. If it's titanium you could end up with a cool result, if it's aluminum you will end up with...well...a puddle 🤪

Seriously though, the remnants of the the ano lead me to think it is Ti, since the color pallet with anodized titanium is much different than that of Al.

You've got the weight: measure the volume (displacement of liquid in a graduated lab cylinder). Ti is 4.5 g/cm^3 IIRC.
