Hinderer 3.5 Full Copper Hardware Kit

Do you they make such for the 3.5?
I don't believe so. Several pieces available individually. I have standoffs, liner, lbs, fill tab, and a copper plated clip on mine. I haven't seen a Cu pivot for a 3.5, though.

You will not be seeing many new knives coming out of Hinderer for a little while as they are going nuts on making all sorts of new parts and scales for all models. Very excited for this to happen. Need to dress up some of my Half Tracks!

I'm glad to hear this. My MP-1 hasn't felt very "modular".

BKH, how have your copper bits been wearing? The coating on my clip wore off pretty rapidly...

Does this mean that the Firetacs won't be seen for a while :'(

Coating on my clip has been fine. I don't carry my XM more than about once a week, though, picked up the clip over the summer. The other bits are solid Cu.

Here is a pic of mine from a few weeks back where you can sort of see the wear. Quite a bit more advanced now.

Matt, that's nice; a classy touch to one of my favorite folders :) ^^

I like the look of it. I also noticed your reprofiled edge angle--it should be a good cutter! Copper and brass patina quite nicely over time like how your clip looks in the pic.

Here's a tip I learned that works great for copper: If it reaches a point where you think it has too much patina/oxidation, you can have it shining like a new penny in no time. Take some tomato ketchup on a soft cloth/paper towel and "clean" the copper items. Then rinse under warm water. (Repeat the process for serious tarnishing issues). Dry it off and it'll shine like no other!
