I was hoping to be able to take my first look at the Hinderer line of knives. I was disappointed to see that their table didn't have any knives for display for people to look at. This was one of the primary reasons I made a trip of it to make the show. Plenty of Ti pens and a wide array of colorful Xm scales. I was there on Saturday around noon time - did I miss something?

:(

If any of the crew was behind the table, asking to see / handle one may have proven a positive situation.

You already know they are lotto buys only, but if you ask nicely the guys may very well let you check out one or two.

Hinderer Knives will be back in Jersey City March 1, 2 and 3. If you can make it back please say hello and ask us if you could see an XM. Rick, Rob or I will usually have one in our pocket. I look forward to meeting you.

As do a few folks lingering around the other side of the table. I play show n tell when it's appropriate.

And remember, if you're quick and clever you might get a full 10 paces from the table with one of their XMs before someone attempts to tackle you to the ground. :D

Hammer is good peeps, his invitation to meet him is .

I was there Saturday also, bought a Ti tool. As I was purchasing another customer who had no clue what it was for asked. I pulled out the 24 from my pocket and showed him.

All you gotta do is ask, in my opinion there were more Hinderers there than anyother knife, seemed like everyone had one on them.

And unfortunately, I was a fat loser in the lottery again. Maybe this March will be better to me as last March and last weekend were not.

I have found fellow Hinderer owners to be a proud and mostly respectful group in person. On the Internet you get a mixed bag of folks, but at shows (and I'm sure at gatherings) the guys and gals are very pleasant. I don't mind handing my knife to someone I know will appreciate it, the conversations that follow are often very cool.

It must be quite a feeling to hear your name called!!!!

Yep...it's been awhile since I've been called in a lotto, but that doesn't matter. For me, it's not about just knives.

And...I agree, it's very cool when guys whose names you say or type on a fairly regular basis speak your name.

AND FIRST IS...J..ERM...JAY, FIRST UP IS JAY.

Me: oh, thats a nice damascus Hellfire grind XM-24 with filed liner and frame.......

Oh look, flying pigs.

Yeah it was a good time there as usual...

Just a heads up but if you can make it to the Tactical Invitational, Rick said he is going to be busting out some stuff he has not done for a long time. Back to the roots with damascus and file work!
